Picasa is a free software download from Google. It helps to locate and organise all the photos on your computer. We can edit and add effects to the photos. then photos can be shared via e-mail, prints and on the web. In short it is free, fast and easy. A very wide audience can see the photographs.
The only disadvantage for this tool is it is difficult to maintain total privacy for the photos as not all the photos downloaded have taken permission from the owners.
Can make a pictorial catalogue of best sellers etc. in a library setting or for making it more interesting for induction of new staff members in the library.
